About Me

Welcome! I am a 22-year-old graduating senior at the University of Tennessee, majoring in Digital/Visual Marketing with a concentration in Sales and a minor in Retail & Consumer Sciences. Currently, I’m interning at G-III Apparel Group in New York City under the vice president of sales, where I’m gaining hands-on experience in the fashion industry. With a background in photography and experience running social media campaigns, I bring a strong creative edge to marketing strategy. I’m passionate about the intersection of creativity and commerce, and my ultimate goal is to launch my own fashion line and market it independently. With a strong foundation in branding, consumer behavior, and trend analysis, I’m excited to bring fresh, strategic thinking to the fashion world. Thanks for allowing me the opportunity to show off my work!

xoxo, Becca

Personal Branding Project:

I created this specific design for the Personal Brand Project. I made a personal brand for myself and my freelance business. For it, I designed a business card for my mixology and home bartending services business, Shake & Stir. I tackled the project through trial and error. I played around a lot with the shapes, colors, and fonts on Canva and ultimately decided on the logo, which is a martini glass. Since martinis are my drink of choice, it added a personal touch.Once I decided to base my design on a martini glass, the color chose itself. I used olive green for the business card because it is the color of the olives in the martini and is also one of my favorite colors. I put the martini glass in the center of the card and played a lot with the typography of the company name. I ultimately decided to slightly arch the words and position them on the side of the martini glass, curving as the glass got wider. I also decided to make the font have a paint brush cursive effect to pair with the glass drawing. There was a lot of blank space, so I added some sparkles from the top of the martini glass to finish it.

I am a senior marketing student at the University of Tennessee with a minor in retail & consumer science. I have strong retail experience from my role at Threads Westwood, where I helped promote and sell apparel by managing social media content and working with different departments to develop marketing ideas and track sales.

I also worked in customer-facing roles, including as a Hostess & Server at Brother’s Smokehouse, where I handled reservations and ensured a great guest experience. In addition, I supported marketing and customer service efforts at The Back Pain Center, including managing patient scheduling and social media outreach.

I am very organized, creative, and skilled in customer service, and I am well-prepared for roles in the retail and marketing industries.
